My Childhood in Morocco

Bread with olive oil and mint tea, the standard and traditional Moroccan breakfast. of course not every day, but this meal is like a must for a Moroccan to enjoy breakfast.
It was travelling to Asilah (Morocco) and swimming in its ocean. I still enjoying it to this day.
In the beginning it was just the 3 of us, my father, son and holy mom. My sister was born when I was 7 – and then there were 4 of us.
Just the local Moroccan “Darija” (a local version of Arabic) and a little Standard Arabic from school and cartoons. At the time, French used to be taught at 3rd grade, when i was 10 years old.
This might sound funny but i used to dream of becoming a train driver as I loved trains so much. Ambitious huh ? At a certain phase of my childhood I also wanted to become a footballer (soccer player).
Big flies, darkness. And for some unknown reason it would scare me so much when someone knocked on our door from the outside!
Mostly hide-and-seek and football, also Super Nintendo if that counts – and some other traditional games like police and thieves, racing…etc.
Lots of TV shows that I used to come running home from school to watch at the time – mainly cartoons : Captain Tsubasa, Tsurikichi Sanpei, Tiger Mask, Mowgli. I believe these were my main favourite cartoon shows. I also have beautiful memories with Dragon Ball, for real acting shows I remember that used to love “V: The visitors” and “The girl from tomorrow”.
Often I would go to bed between 9 and 10 pm, no internet no smart phones, no Play Station. No kid shows after 7 pm, so nothing to stay awake for.
If I may, I’d say 25% similarity. I know I’m different – everybody who knows me knows that! I’m not praising myself, I know I’m not a genius, but you don’t have to be genius to be different, besides…I didn’t really chose to be this way, it’s just the way I am…
Yes but only inside Morocco, I’ve been to many cities up to 2017 : Ouarzazate, Ait Ben Haddou, Amerzegan, Marrakesh, Rabat, Larrache, Tangier, Tetouan…but most of my travels were between Casablanca and Asilah.
